How VM finds out my problems ?

Jean-Pierre Barral

“We must do listening when we treat somebody, because the listening show you where the collisional forces are going.”

Jean-Pierre Barral, Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), founder of Visceral Manipulation, elaborated the importance to train our hands

to assess patients so as to carry out proper treatment. This was taught to us during the new course of Jean-Pierre Barral, “Advanced Trauma” in Munich, Germany in January 2019. Jean Pierre shared his over 40 years of clinical experience on how to treatment patients with physical trauma, particularly on head and upper thorax (eg for patients with condition like whiplash injury, post-concussion syndrome etc).

It seems impossible, but with practice, and ceaseless study, and you can really use your hands to feel the body in such a subtle way. A few patients reported of decreased tension of head, or headache after treatment, and asked me why VM could help in this way. In Barral Institute, we have Visceral Manipulation (VM), Neuro-meningeal Manipulation (NM, 腦神經及腦膜手法), Viscero-Vascular Manipulation (內臟血管系統手法), Manual Articular Approach (關節手法).
